Tift County – Newnan                

Tift County travels again this week to Newnan for the second round of the AAAAA state playoffs.  The Blue Devils are 8-3 and take on the undefeated Cougars at 11-0.  The two have never met.  Newnan has a 2-6-1 record against region 1-AAAAA opponents, including a second round win against Coffee in the 2007 playoffs by a 28-25 margin.  They lost in the quarterfinals to the North Gwinnett  Bulldogs.  Written By: TCTC Historian/Public Relations: Ronnie Hall
